My Brain Had Become My God - and It Failed Me

I'd been trained my whole life to trust my mind above everything else — outthink anyone stronger or faster, because that was the one edge I had. My thinking was my god, in every practical sense. Then a doctor sat me down and told me I had celiac sprue, an allergy to wheat and gluten so severe it was affecting my brain along with my body.

He told me plainly: I couldn't trust my own thoughts anymore. My god had just bowed its knee, and I didn't know what to do next.

By that point I'd dropped to 92 pounds, was acting in ways that scared the people who loved me, and my mother was pleading just to keep me alive and out of an institution. She brought me home, got me vitamin shots because she believed the Lord told her to, and never stopped believing there was a way back for me.

By August, Completely Healed - of a Disease They Said Was for Life

I got saved in January of that year, at my mother's house, watching a broadcast much like this one. By August, I was completely healed of celiac sprue — a disease doctors told me I would carry for the rest of my life, managing it through a painfully limited diet forever.

“Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed.”

Even a hernia they'd flagged as serious turned out to be gone by the time a specialist examined me. The Lord was already at work in my body before I even understood what was happening.

This Wasn't a One-Time Miracle

That 1989 healing wasn't the end of the story — it was the beginning of a pattern I've watched repeat for over three decades. In 2022, doctors found cracks in two vertebrae in my back and scheduled three MRIs over three weeks to track it. Between the first scan and the third, the fracture had completely remodeled, faster than they said was medically possible.

I've been healed of a heart condition, healed from injuries that should have taken me out, and I've watched people all over the world receive healing after I taught them how to pray and stand on what God's Word actually says.
