Find Your Identity in Jesus’ Love.

Did you know that Jesus is in love with you? That’s right! YOU!

God wants to have an intimate and personal relationship with you. Why? Because He is in love with you! There is a tremendous power that is given free course in your life when you realize Jesus is in love with you.

Ephesians 3:17-18 exhorts us to know and understand this powerful love God has for us.

“17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

You need to find your identity in His love for you!
There is so much power in it, so much freedom in finding your identity in His love for you.

The great Apostle John is a tremendous example of this. Not only did he write five books of the New Testament, but He also was the disciple no one could kill and could not be stopped. Historical records tell us that He was arrested and was boiled in oil and not only did he not die, but he was also not even harmed. What do you do with a man you cannot kill? You exile him to an island, which is exactly what they did. Did this stop him? No! On that island is where He wrote the Book of Revelation!

Why? Why could they not kill him? Why did the oil and fire have no power over his body? Why did he live when the other apostles were killed?

I am convinced it was because he, above all of the others, had confidence in Jesus’ love for him.

John’s identity was found in Jesus’ love for him. That is how is saw himself. That is how John identified himself. “I am the disciple whom Jesus loves.”

Now this love Jesus had for John was available to them all. John was the only one that would fully receive it and lay hold of it. John began to have such confidence in Jesus’ love it is how he identified himself. Jesus’ love for him became his identity.

John didn’t just know about the love of God for him, John believed and trusted in the love God had for him!

The more you believe and trust in the love God has for you, the more you will see these blessings manifest in your life!

After all, what do you have to be concerned about? God Almighty is in love with you and has burning desire to help you!

You are the disciple that Jesus loves. Believe and receive this Truth into your heart today!
